About the Artist

Based in Sussex (UK) with my husband and large, Battersea-rescue, almost-Beardie (both contrive to divert me from the painting surface as often as possible!). Although my other working life has led in many directions, my aim has always been to return to painting what I love most in the hope of helping them where possible.

Whilst mostly self-taught, I have attended many workshops and have also been fortunate in being tutored by Asphodel Fleischman (Slade), and David Boys (Royal College of Art) at London Zoo.

My work is inspired by love and respect for animals, my chief aim being to support conservation as well as certain other animal charities.

An experienced animal portraitist, my work has gone to private collections in the USA and Australia as well as the UK.

Exhibitions include:
The Mall Galleries, London, & Palace House, Newmarket (Society of Equestrian Artists);
Banham Zoo, Norfolk; Bristol Zoo, Wildwood, Port Lympne Zoo & The Round House Gallery, Spalding (The Wildlife Art Society); Obsidian Art Gallery: The Horse in Art, Out of Africa, British Countryside Flora & Fauna; Wildlife Exhibition at What If Gallery, Dartford, jointly with Yvonne Lunde-Andreassen; Weald of Sussex Art Club Annual Exhibitions; Wilton House Craft Fair; Ardingly Spring Fairs, Temple Cressing Spring Fair.
FORTHCOMING: Marwell International Wildlife Art Exhibition, Marwell Zoo 21-24 August 2008
Slimbridge WWT: 9 Nov 2008 - 5 Jan 2009
